Friends, please read to the bottom, as this newsletter includes a rather urgent request. Thank you.
We want to start by thanking all of you for your prayers before, during, and after Hurricane Matthew. We thank God each day that we did not receive the direct hit and devastation that the end of the peninsula received. We urge you to continue praying for our neighbors, those who have lost so much.
In this time, Respire has so much to be thankful for... We are truly blessed. School is back in session, and most of the hurricane cleanup is done! Again, we so appreciate your prayers and love during the last few weeks.
We DO have an urgent need to share!
Many of you have visited to serve and have stayed at the White House rental. Over the years, the house is beginning to show signs of major problems. The bathroom ceilings are falling down, and the upstairs rooms have some structural problems that we cannot fix as renters.
God has watched over us yet again! We are fortunate to have found a larger, brand new house very close to the current house that would be perfect! This house and the rental price they are offering are truly a gift.
But, in order to transition from the White House to the new house, we will need approximately $12,000 upfront payments.
As you know, we normally do not reach out to our friends and loved ones with urgent requests. We are so thankful for all you do to support our mission and our school.
That said, under these circumstances, we are asking you to give (if you are able), to our "greatest need" category on our online donation form.
God blesses all of us in different ways. If you are able to help financially, we so appreciate your support. Please keep us in your prayers through this transition! We will keep you posted on this move. We are truly grateful!

How do we change the world? Lovishly believes in giving extravagantly. Throughout the year, we partner with many non-profits that are making a difference in their communities. We create a custom necklace for each organization and help spread the word of the work they are doing. During their campaign, $5 from every necklace sold goes towards their work. We believe that when you wear our necklaces you will want to share about the change that is going on in the world through that specific organization.
Lovishly believes that together we can make a difference in the world. Fashion has become a way for us to express ourselves and the things we care about, so what better way to do that then purchasing one of our necklaces.
Help us change our world!
All glory to God! Richcarde, a student at Respire Haiti Christian School, who had open heart surgery in June of 2014 was needing to receive another surgery, due to an infection in his valve. In May 2016 we found out through Haiti Cardiac Alliance (HCA) that Richcarde had an opportunity to get another surgery at Health City Cayman Island in Grand Cayman Island.
Through much prayer, he and his family decided it would be best for him to go through with the surgery. At the end of June, Richcarde traveled with HCA and Belo to Grand Cayman Island to receive another open-heart surgery. Belo stayed with Richcarde throughout the whole process and was a great encouragement and support to Richcarde during that time.
We are thankful to say that Richcarde received great care, and the surgery was successful at Health City Cayman Island Hospital. Richcarde is back in Haiti and doing well with recovery! Please continue to keep Richcarde and his family in your prayers as he will go through many changes that need to be made due to his new valve. We are so thankful for everyone who has prayed, and is continuing to pray for Richcarde. We know God has great plans for his life because he is a walking miracle, and we praise God he is doing well!
As we approach August at Respire Haiti, we are getting our classrooms back together for the beginning of school. We met with our administration at the beginning of the summer and they had some ideas of how we could further improve our secondary classrooms.
After observing many of our desks breaking this past year, we thought we would give YOU an opportunity to help us buy new desks and chalkboards for each secondary classroom. Before this school year begins, we will need to raise a total of $2,900 for 25 new benches and 4 new chalkboards. We would love for you to partner with us and help our students come back to a brand new classroom. The amount per desk and chalkboard is $100. We can’t wait for our students to come back and see their new and improved classroom.
If you or someone you know are interested in sponsoring a bench or chalkboard please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your support and continuously helping us in making our school a better and brighter place!
As our summer school session comes to a close, we are busy getting ready for another successful school year! Uniform skirts and pants are being sewn, book orders are being prepared and classrooms are being painted to get ready for the 1st day of school on September 5th!
We are so grateful for all of our faithful student sponsors, especially those of you that sponsor your student year after year! So many things happen because of the generosity of our sponsors:
We have approximately 30 students that are still in need of a sponsor, if you would like to sponsor one of our students you may donate online here!
Sponsorship is $25/month or $300/year. Please use the “Sponsor a Child” category. If you would like to give general support to our school for the expenses that are not covered by student sponsorship please give to the “Greatest Need” category.
Your donation truly changes the lives of these vulnerable children and families! If you have any questions please contact email@example.com.
