About Lovishly's Respire Haiti Necklace

*taken from https://lovishly.com/pages/about-us

Lovishly Co. started in 2014 for the simple reason of giving back to the community that we live in. Lovishly believes each of us have the power to tell stories that change lives through fashion. When you wear our necklaces, our hope is that you will feel empowered to share the story it holds.

How do we change the world? Lovishly believes in giving extravagantly. Throughout the year, we partner with many non-profits that are making a difference in their communities. We create a custom necklace for each organization and help spread the word of the work they are doing. During their campaign, $5 from every necklace sold goes towards their work. We believe that when you wear our necklaces you will want to share about the change that is going on in the world through that specific organization.

Lovishly believes that together we can make a difference in the world. Fashion has become a way for us to express ourselves and the things we care about, so what better way to do that then purchasing one of our necklaces.

Help us change our world!

How long have you worked with Respire Haiti?
A: Three and a half years.

What is your role at Respire Haiti?
A: I am the director of security.

How has working with Respire Haiti impacted the live of you and your family?
A: There has been a great change in my life and the life of my family. Economically it has completely changed our situation. I have learned so much about working with an NGO and how hard the work here is. I fell very proud in the work that I do and it has been a great experience for me.

How have you seen Respire Haiti working in and changing the community Gressier?
A: (laughs) Their have been so many changes - first, Respire has given so many people jobs. They have given so many children a chance to go to school who never could go before. They have given healthcare to so many families who did not have access. Socially, Respire has uncovered so many talents through the many programs that the children can participate in, such as, sports, music, and leadership. Education, health, sports, and many other things have been provided to the community by the grace of Respire. It is normally only those who have means that have access to these things, but thanks to Respire, these have all been brought to Gressier.

Why are you passionate about your role are Respire?
A: I love what I do at Respire, first, because it gives me a chance to further my career as a police officer, and I feel like I am able to make a big contribution to Respire by protecting and serving.

What else are you passionate about?
A: I am always passionate about the Lord, because He is present in everything that I do and He deserves the glory in all that we do.

What things do you enjoy doing when you aren't working?
A: I am passionate about my church and furthering God's kingdom. I also enjoy traveling with my family when I have the chance. I love being a father and spending time with my children.

Answered Prayers!
AUTHOR

All glory to God! Richcarde, a student at Respire Haiti Christian School, who had open heart surgery in June of 2014 was needing to receive another surgery, due to an infection in his valve. In May 2016 we found out through Haiti Cardiac Alliance (HCA) that Richcarde had an opportunity to get another surgery at Health City Cayman Island in Grand Cayman Island.

Through much prayer, he and his family decided it would be best for him to go through with the surgery.  At the end of June, Richcarde traveled with HCA and Belo to Grand Cayman Island to receive another open-heart surgery.  Belo stayed with Richcarde throughout the whole process and was a great encouragement and support to Richcarde during that time.

We are thankful to say that Richcarde received great care, and the surgery was successful at Health City Cayman Island Hospital. Richcarde is back in Haiti and doing well with recovery! Please continue to keep Richcarde and his family in your prayers as he will go through many changes that need to be made due to his new valve.  We are so thankful for everyone who has prayed, and is continuing to pray for Richcarde.  We know God has great plans for his life because he is a walking miracle, and we praise God he is doing well!
